Free Mental Health Trainings for Nursing Homes

(Oct. 1, 2024) The Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health in Nursing Facilities (COE-NF), established by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in partnership with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), offers nursing facility staff a centralized resource hub with easy access to trainings, technical assistance, and additional resources, at no cost.

A great way to enhance the mental health care skills of staff within your facility is to take advantage of the COE-NF's October 2024 training series. The educational tools provided will help unlock vital mental health skills to gain essential knowledge in suicide prevention, mental health first aid, and trauma-informed care. Each evidence-based session is led by expert speakers and offers Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) credits.
