Wage Parity Attestations Due
The Department of Health (DOH) issued a reminder to Medicaid Managed Care Plans, Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) Plans, Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs), Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs), Long Term Home Health Care Programs (LTHHCPs), and Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) Fiscal Intermediaries (FIs) that 2022 annual wage parity compliance certifications are due by Oct. 1st. The certification must be done electronically through the eMedNY Provider Portal. Please note that the requirement applies only to those serving the downstate area, which is where wage parity provisions are in effect.
Members will recall that additional requirements that include completion of Department of Labor (DOL) forms and submission of financial statements by LHCSAs and FIs and the receipt and review of such information by Plans, CHHAs, and LTHHCPs are further delayed as described in updated guidance issued Aug. 18, 2022. Instructions for completing the form are provided in MLTC Policy 21.03 and clarified in Policy 21.03a.
The reminder memo issued most recently is available here. It welcomes certification form completion questions to be addressed to the eMedNY Call Center (800-343-9000), while wage parity questions should be addressed to hcworkerparity@health.ny.gov.
