DOH Responds to MLTC Quality Incentive Questions
(Dec. 30, 2024) The Department of Health (DOH) has circulated a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document addressing questions posed by participants of the Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) Quality Incentive Workgroup. The meeting was held on Nov. 7th. In response to participant questions, DOH clarified that it was not likely to share Quality Initiative methodology changes earlier in the year and was not eager to take variables that may differ upstate versus downstate into consideration in the scoring process, but did signal a willingness to examine the feasibility of increasing the number of decimal places for data posted to HealthDataNY. While no firm date has been established for the mailing of the next member satisfaction survey, it was expected to occur in early 2025. In response to a suggestion for annual surveys, the Department indicated that such a frequency would not be supported by current funding and indicated that it has observed consistent rates using a biannual survey.
