DOH Posts Webinar on PC/CDPAS Regulations
The Department of Health (DOH) has posted a prerecorded webinar outlining the implementation timeline of provisions included in the recently adopted changes and additions to Personal Care (PC) and Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Services (CDPAS) regulations (18 NYCRR sections 505.14 and 505.28). Certain regulatory additions and amendments became effective on Nov. 8th, while many other provisions are pended for implementation at later, yet to be announced, date or dates.
The direct link to the webinar is here, and the slides in PDF format are here. The guidance document that the Department issued on Nov. 1st listing the provisions that became effective Nov. 8th is available here, and a brief summary is here. Additional background on the regulatory provisions as well as links to the regulations themselves can be accessed here.
DOH requests that questions on the presentation be directed to independent.assessor@health.ny.gov and has indicated that it anticipates that changes that are not yet effective will not be effective prior to Jan. 1, 2022, and that the Department intends to provide at least 60 days prior written notice prior to additional changes taking effect.
