CMS Final Rule Available

Prior to publication in the Federal Register, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is offering a preview of the Medicare Advantage Program and Prescription Drug Benefit Program (Part D) for Calendar Year 2019 (CMS-4182-F) Final Rule. The rule establishes a framework under which Part D plan sponsors may establish a drug management program for beneficiaries at risk for prescription drug abuse or misuse; revises the timing and method of various disclosure requirements; and changes the process that plans, including Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), use to verify that providers and prescribers are authorized to participate in the Medicare program.
