HRSA Issues Rural PACE Funding Opportunity
(Feb. 11, 2025) The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has announced a $2 million funding opportunity for organizations seeking to develop a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE program) in a rural community or to expand an existing program into rural areas. The Rural PACE Planning and Development Program will provide four grants of $500,000 each to improve health care in rural areas, including expanding access to medical care and long-term services for rural aging populations by expanding PACE programs into rural areas. HRSA plans to fund awards in four 12-month budget periods for a total four-year period of performance from Sept. 30, 2025 to Sept. 29, 2029. The Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), along with full information and application requirements, can be accessed on Grants.gov or reviewed here. Applications are due by April 17th, with an estimated award announcement date of Sept. 1, 2025. A recording of a technical assistance webinar for prospective applicants held on Feb. 11th should be posted soon.
