CFCO Implementation Date Now April 2018

As the second round of Community First Choice Option (CFCO) workgroup meetings gets underway, the Department of Health (DOH) has announced that the target date for carving in CFCO services into the Medicaid Managed Care and Managed Long Term Care benefits package is April 1, 2018. The DOH notification is copied below.

Based on stakeholder input and timing of other managed care initiatives, the Department has recently decided to amend the carve-in date for the Community First Choice Option (CFCO). The target date to add the entire scope of CFCO services to the Managed Care benefit is April 1, 2018.

Please note that there is still a great deal of work to be done to successfully implement CFCO. We look forward to continuing regular collaboration via the CFCO workgroups that have been established.
