Medicaid Recertification Webinar Available on Demand
On April 25th, the NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH), Department of Health (DOH), and Managed Care Technical Assistance Center (MCTAC) presented a webinar on the resumption of Medicaid recertifications. It provided an overview of NYS's process to resume Medicaid eligibility renewals as well as information about how stakeholders can assist individuals in maintaining their Medicaid enrollment.
Presenters reviewed the recertification schedule, described some of the flexibilities the State has negotiated with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), highlighted the State’s communication plan, detailed the special circumstances for those dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid, outlined the process for identifying clients in need of Medicaid recertification in the State’s Psychiatric Services and Clinical Knowledge Enhancement System (PSYCKES), and fielded participant questions. The event was especially targeted at behavioral health providers, managed care organizations, and care managers. The slides are here, and a full recording can be accessed here.
