DOH Posts CDPAS Templates
The Department of Health (DOH) has developed templates for Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) plans to use to notify members that their Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) Fiscal Intermediary (FI) is no longer part of the plan's network. MLTC Policy 19.01 requires plans to notify members within five business days of receiving notification that a contracted FI will cease operations or will no longer serve the area and request the member to select an alternative FI within 10 days. A second notification must be sent within five business days of the requested 10-day period.
Both of these member notifications must be made using DOH-developed templates, which are posted on the DOH MLTC Policy Documents page under MLTC Policy 19.01 (here). Additionally, DOH has developed and posted templates that FIs must use to notify consumers, assistants, and plans.
MLTC Policy 19.01 also includes fee-for-service payment levels and guidance for MLTC reimbursement amounts reflecting the transition to a Per Member Per Month administrative cost payment methodology, a provision against which several groups have filed legal challenges.
