LeadingAge National to Present Webinar on Active Shooter Preparedness
LeadingAge National has announced a new Active Shooter Preparedness webinar to be held on Wed., June 29th from 2 to 3:30 p.m. ET.
During the virtual event led by safety, security, and risk management expert Steve Wilder, senior service providers and their teams will:
- learn more about what an active shooter event is;
- explore approaches to active shooter preparation and response training and education;
- review key policies and procedures to include in an active shooter safety action plan; and
- consider the importance of planning for mental health services following an active shooter emergency.
Given recent events, it is critical that members develop an active shooter emergency response plan to ensure a quick, cohesive, and community-wide response if someone threatens the lives of residents, visitors, caregivers, and staff.
The webinar is open to all, with a discounted rate offered to LeadingAge members. Click here for more information or to register for the June 29th event.
