LeadingAge’s Feb. 28^th Policy Update Call will explore issues at the intersection of housing and health with Ingrid Gould Ellen, an author and theme issue adviser for this month’s issue of Health Affairs.

Without congressional action, the ACP will run out of funding to serve its low-income enrollees by April 2024.

The Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act of 2024 includes a restoration of the 12.5 percent LIHTC ceiling, allowing states to allocate more credits for affordable housing projects.

The ACP, which provides a monthly subsidy to help low-income households access the internet, will expire in less than four months without an additional infusion of federal funding.

Applications are due by 4 p.m. on Mon., Jan. 22^nd for up to $30,000 in grant funding to support bricks-and-mortar projects that assist low-income, elderly, and disabled veterans with unmet housing needs.

The AHCP will help facilitate upgrades to 100,000 affordable housing units at no cost to the property owner by connecting them with Internet Service Provider grantees.

The NYS ConnectALL Office will host a free virtual forum for owners of affordable housing to learn more about how their properties can receive new or upgraded broadband infrastructure at no cost to them.
