HCR Announces Unified Funding Round for 2015
New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) has announced the opening of its annual Unified Funding Round (UFR) – the funding availability for capital programs that support construction and rehabilitation of affordable housing for low and moderate and middle income individuals and families.
The UFR is a statewide competition for resources that include federal and state Low Income Housing Credits, the HOME Investment Partnership, the Low Income Housing Trust Fund Program, the Rural Area Revitalization Program and Urban Initiatives Programs, Medicaid Redesign Team capital program, Mitchell-Lama Program and the Middle income Housing Program.
Application materials will be available on the HCR web site around Aug. 14, 2015. Notices of Funding Availability and Credit Availability are posted on the HCR web site. The Unified Funding awards have two deadlines for application material. Early Award (EA) projects must have all application materials submitted by 5:00 pm on October 6, 2015. All other UF projects must submit materials by 5:00 pm on Thurs., Dec. 6, 2015.
Application workshops are being held in Rochester, Albany, and New York City as follows:
- Rochester City Council Chambers. City Hall Room 302, on Sept. 9 at 10 am;
- Albany - Hampton Plaza Ballroom, 38-40 State Street, Sept. 10 at 10 am; and
- Adam Clayton Powell State Office Building, 2nd Floor Art Gallery, 163 West 125th Street, Sept. 11 at 10 am.
