DOH has issued a confirmation and some clarification on the implementation date for all Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) Plans and their respective downstream providers.

The MLTC UAS-NY implementation date has been pushed back to October 1, 2013!

On Tuesday, May 28, 2013, the NYS Department of health will conduct a one-hour webinar on the UAS-NY to provide additional information concerning the statewide implemenation of the UAS-NY.   The one hour webinar will begin at 2:00 pm. DOH is seeking input from attendees, therefore members are encouraged to submit topics of interest.

The DOH has released a document entitled "What the Statewide Implementation Plan of the UAS-NY Means for Your Organization".  The purpose of the document is to convey the DOH's state-wide implementation plan and clarify what an organization's role is or may be with respect to the UAS-NY.

Beginning May 1, 2013, 16 additional counties will begin activities to transition to the Uniform Assessment System for New York (UAS-NY) for all of their home and community-based long term care Medicaid programs.
