Mandatory MLTC coming to Westchester, Long Island

During the most recent Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) implementation advisory group call, DOH confirmed that the mandatory managed care enrollment process is on schedule to begin in Westchester County and Long Island in January.   Auto-assignment for those NYC recipients who did not select a plan within 60 days was suspended in November but will resume on Jan. 1.  The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has not yet approved the waiver that would allow the state to mandate individuals served by Long Term Home Health Care Programs (LTHHCP) into managed care, meaning that LTHHCP remains an option at this time even in mandatory MLTC areas.
