Wage Parity FAQs January 2014

DOH posted FAQs to clarify questions that have been raised regarding wage parity and total compensation for NYC, Long Island and Westchester counties. LeadingAge NY recently met with DOH staff to review our concerns regarding the implementation of wage parity with the ongoing cuts to home care and the transition to managed care.  

The ten questions cover how the rates were determined, what needs to be paid to the aide, total compensation, time-off, and the "additional wage" of $1.69 for NYC.
