Latest Wage Parity Frequently Asked Questions
The Department of Health (DOH) posted new Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) regarding the Home Care Worker Wage Parity law as it relates to "additional wages." This new posting is a follow-up to the January 2014 FAQs, questions #3 -7, and #10. Both of these documents should be reviewed to address issues surrounding rates and additional wages.
The recent FAQs cover:
- Various types of paid leaves and holidays;
- Additional wages combined with supplemental wages;
- NYC's Earned Sick Time Act that went into effect April 1, 2014;
- Limits on rolling over paid time off; and
- Overtime hours.
