Home Care Worker Wage Parity and Total Compensation for 2013-2014

DOH has posted two Dear Administrator Letters (DALs) for the wage parity and total compensation for the period of March 1, 2013 – Feb. 28, 2014. The first DAL is for Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs), Long Term Home Health Care Programs (LTHHCPs) and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) in New York City. The minimum home care aide total compensation rate will be $9.50 hourly, with a supplemental benefit rate of $1.43 per hour. The second DAL is for CHHAs, LTHHCPs and MCOs in Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk counties. The minimum home care aide total compensation rate will be $9.00 hourly, with a supplemental benefit rate of $1.35 per hour.
