Certification Forms for Home Care Worker Wage Parity Are Due

Certification forms for Home Care Worker Wage Parity are due- August 2012

September 1 is just days away! It’s time for the next state-required vendor Home Care Worker Wage Parity Law certification forms for the months of Sept., Oct., and Nov. 2012 for home care agencies serving New York City.

Subcontractors, such as Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs) that contract with Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs), Long Term Home Health Care Programs (LTHHCPs) and/or Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) are required to submit these forms on a quarterly basis to their contractor, not DOH.

The form can be found in the Dear Administrator Letter on HCS, DAL #: DHCBS 11-09 - Subject: Home Care Worker Wage Parity dated Oct. 28, 2011 on page 4. Please change the date in the first sentence from March 1 to Sept. 1, 2012 to reflect the prospective period of Sept. 1 through Nov. 30, 2012.
Please note that despite several lawsuits regarding Home Care Worker Wage Parity, the law is still in effect.
