Conflict-Free Evaluation and Enrollment Center Updates
Last week, the Department of Health (DOH) posted two new documents on Conflict-Free Evaluation and Enrollment Centers (CFEECs). The first is a revised timeline, which shows Wed., April 1 for Region Five beginning to implement conflict-free evaluation and enrollment. The counties that will be impacted are in the Southern Tier, Finger Lakes and Western regions.
The second document is Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) dated Fri., March 27. Included in the 17 FAQs are questions on how the CFEEC will apply to the Fully Integrated Duals Advantage (FIDA) program, timeframe for scheduling appointments, how often assessments are completed, languages spoken by CFEEC staff, dispute resolution process, review of managed long term care policies, enrollment in different plans and current long term nursing home residents needing to be evaluated by CFEECs.
