DOH Announces Dr. Thomas Bathrick as New HCBS Director
Last week, the Department of Health (DOH) announced Dr. Thomas Bathrick, DrPH, MSN, BS, RN, as the new Director of the Division of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) in the Office of Aging and Long-Term Care (OALTC). Dr. Bathrick has experience as the District Public Health Supervisor for the State of Vermont and the Interim Clinical Director of a local home health agency, as well as doctoral training.
The Department emphasized that Dr. Bathrick will focus on stabilizing home care services through surveillance while expanding access through programmatic analysis, dynamic vision, influence, and education.
Acting Director Seon Davis will transition to the Deputy Director role for the Division.
Barbara Stubblebine will be stepping into a new position as Deputy Director of the Center for Aging and Long-Term Care Regulatory Policy Initiatives in OALTC.
Carol Rodat, former HCBS Division Director, is now the Special Advisor to the OALTC Deputy Commissioner.
