Several Important Dates for Home Care, Managed Care, and Assisted Living Programs

Sept. 1stWage Parity Certification Forms Due

As a reminder, the required Home Care Worker Wage Parity certification forms are due Sept. 1st for Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs) and other entities that contract with Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs), and/or Long Term Home Health Care Programs (LTHHCPs) serving New York City, Long Island, and Westchester.

Sept. 1st Incontinence Supply Management Program

The Department of Health (DOH) posted a provider communication in eMedNY on the "Incontinence Supply Management Program" beginning Sept. 1, 2016. This applies to managed care and managed long term care Medicaid providers, and Medicaid enrollees residing in the community under fee-for-service.

Sept. 9th _ Comments due on New York's transition plan to come into compliance with the federal home and community based settings rule. Comments should be e-mailed to HCBSrule@health.ny.gov. Click here for more information.

As we reported, the Department of Health (DOH) released 43 pages of questions and answers on the Statewide Health Care Facility Transformation Program Request for Application (RFA). DOH also conducted an applicant webinar on the on Monday, Aug. 8th. The webinar was recorded and is available here. To access the webinar slides, click here. We had reported in an earlier member alert and Intelligence article that DOH and the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) announced the availability of funds under this program, established pursuant to Section 2825-d of the Public Health Law.

Oct. 15th 2015 LHCSA and ALP LHCSA Statistical Report Due

The Department of Health (DOH) posted to the Health Commerce System (HCS) a Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) with the timeframe for activating and completing the 2015 annual statistical report for Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs).
