Reminder: LHCSA and ALP LHCSA Statistical Report Due Dec. 31st
(Dec. 17, 2024) Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs) and Assisted Living Programs (ALPs) with LHCSAs should note the upcoming Dec. 31st deadline for submission of the 2023 LHCSA Statistical Report. Members can learn more here about the reporting requirement, which also includes the annual registration process for LHCSAs and ALP LHCSAs.
The Department of Health (DOH) recently provided a webinar to LHCSAs and ALP LHCSAs in order to facilitate compliance and increase submissions of the LHCSA Statistical Report. The webinar covered directions for accessing the report in the Healthcare Financial Data Gateway and the necessary steps to download and install the current software and reports, as well as submit the reports.
Presenters noted that if agencies are only ALP LHCSAs serving their residents, then only the ALP LHCSA report must be completed. If the ALP LHCSA is also serving members of the broader community, both the LHCSA Statistical Report and the ALP LHCSA Statistical Report are required.
Reporters are not to change or rename the name of the report for submission to DOH, which will populate with their agency name. Renaming for an agency’s own files should occur after submission. There was additional discussion regarding the differences between unduplicated patient count and cases, report validation, full- and part-time staff, payers, and revenue.
