Personal Care Aide Audit Protocols

LeadingAge New York, along with other associations, had another call with the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) to discuss the draft Personal Care Aide (PCA) audit protocols. The draft PCA audit protocols will apply to services before July 31, 2011.

The discussion covered the issues that were outlined in the October 2013 letter from LeadingAge New York. OMIG stated that they have made revisions to the protocols as a result of the letter. LeadingAge New York again expressed interest in having OMIG present an educational webinar to members to clarify the intent and nuances of the protocols.

Members will be notified when the PCA audit protocols are finalized.
