Final PCA Audit Protocols

The NYS Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) posted the final Personal Care Aide (PCA) Audit Protocols for service dates prior to July 31, 2011. These protocols went into effect May 2nd. As LeadingAge NY previously documented in our October 2013 joint associations letter and again in a conference call in February 2014, we had asked OMIG for consideration with situation-specific or mitigating circumstances, proportionality of disallowances and clarification of protocol specific concerns.

We appreciate OMIG listening to our concerns and including some of our suggestions.
