Criteria and definitions for the provision of continuous PC and CDPAP services

Page four of the Oct. 10 NYS Registry explains the notice of an emergency rule to amend Sections 505.14 and 505.28 of Title 18 NYCRR. The purpose is to establish definitions, criteria and requirements associated with the provision of continuous Personal Care (PC) and continuous Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP). Terms and clarifications used in this emergency rule are also referred to in parts of the findings with the 24-hour split-shift PC cases:

- Uninterrupted care;

- Total assistance;

- At times that cannot be predicted; and

- The role of the local professional director.
