The latest Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) corrects the previous July 9, 2013 DAL on Personal Care - 2013 Hotlines. Please note that in the revised section on Worker Recruitment and Retention, the correct allocation percentage should be 6.08 percent.

This recent Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) is to provide clarification regarding the regulatory requirements in NYCRR Title 10, §766.10, on Licensed Home Care Services Agencies’ (LHCSA) provision of all services when providing these services directly or under contract, specifically the required responsibilities related to MD orders.

DOH posted the 2012 Personal Care Cost Report Software and a Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) to the HCS. The cost report must be filed with DOH no later than Sept. 15, 2013.

DOH posted updated guidelines as of May 31 for the provision of personal care services in Medicaid managed care. The guidelines cover the same areas as the previous version from June 2012 with updates on the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program and developing the plan of care.  

DOH will activate the 2010 LHCSA Statistical Report on the Health Commerce System (HCS) on June 10, 2013. The deadline for submitting the reports is August 9, 2013. The LHCSA Statistical Report is used to collect information such as the number of visits and revenue by payor, the number of personnel employed, and the numbers of cases and visits by service and county.
