2014 Initial Rates for Personal Care

The DAL that was posted to the HCS shows:

• Zero percent trend factor in accordance with past NYS budgets;
• No more than 28 percent Administrative and General (A&G) cap for personal care pursuant to Title 18 NYCRR Section 505.14(h)(7)(ii) and 18 percent continues to be the administrative cap for consumer directed;
• No less than 6.08 percent adjustment will be included in the 2014 rates for personal care service providers who submitted their signed attestation for using funds for the purpose of improving Recruitment and Retention (R&R) of non-supervisory personal care services workers or any worker with direct patient care responsibility.

The letter explains the Criminal History Record Checks (CHRC), capital costs, profit/surplus percent and requests for rate revisions along with specific dates, contacts and phone numbers for questions.
