Palliative Care Access Act
Do you know what the Palliative Care Access Act means for your operations?
The Palliative Care Access Act was enacted in late 2011, establishing new responsibilities for home care, nursing homes, enhanced assisted living residences (EALRs), special needs residences (SNALRs) and home care entities associated with assisted living programs (ALPs) to assist the people they serve in accessing palliative care. LeadingAge New York worked with the Department of Health and other stakeholders to develop resources to help understand the implications of the new requirements.
