DOH Issues Proposed Regulation Increasing Hospice Residence Medicaid Rates by 10 Percent

The Department of Health (DOH) has issued a proposed regulation effectuating a 10 percent increase in Medicaid rates for hospice residence services, calculated based on rates in effect on March 31, 2018 and maintained at that level prospectively. This regulation is in accordance with statutory amendments to the Public Health Law pursuant to Chapter 57 of the Laws of 2018. The proposed regulation will be open to a 60-day public comment period, ending Aug. 2, 2021.
