More Home Care Cost Reporting Workshops Scheduled
The Department of Health (DOH) has scheduled more Home Care Cost Report outreach sessions for all Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs), Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs), and Fiscal Intermediaries (FIs). As previously reported, DOH recently finalized the new home care cost reporting process as required by the 2018-19 State Budget. The consolidated report will apply to all entities and will require variations in reporting based upon the services offered. This report will replace the Personal Care Provider Cost Report and the non-hospital-based CHHA Cost Report and will apply to providers statewide. Audits of the submitted forms will be carried out by KPMG; thus, the forms will no longer need to be certified by a CPA prior to submission.
Key aspects of the presentation include the following:
- Overview of the cost report
- Key information
- KPMG role
- Introduction of the web-based tool
- Web-based tool walkthrough
- Audit process overview
- Timeline and next steps
The sessions are free-of-charge, in-person and are critical for agency staff responsible for filling out the reports. Sessions are appropriate for all three provider types and are identical to one another. Note that attendees should bring the handouts sent prior to the training. Registration should occur at least three days prior to training. See the schedule and details for the sessions here.
Questions on cost report matters may be submitted to Homecare.reports@health.ny.gov.
