HCBS Rule Compliance Tools for Social Day Programs Updated by DOH

(July 9, 2024) The NYS Department of Health (DOH) recently notified Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) plans that the Suggested Social Adult Day Care (SADC) Site Evaluation Tool and corresponding User Guide have been updated and the most current versions from July 9, 2024 have been added to the DOH SADC Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Compliance website.

The updated Tool and User Guide have been developed as a resource to assist MLTC plans in oversight of SADC compliance with State and federal requirements.

Changes to Tool:

For a complete list of changes made to the Tool, please see the Suggested SADC Site Evaluation Tool Summary of Changes Made. Please be sure to see all of the available tabs on the page.

MLTC plans are to begin utilizing the updated Tool and Guide or have their evaluation tool include all assessment items in the DOH tool within 30 days.
