Upcoming HCS Application Change for HCBS Providers

(July 14, 2025) LeadingAge NY has been alerted that by September 2025, the application called “Home and Community-Based Service – HERDS” will be removed from the Health Commerce System (HCS). Users will need to add the new link, “HERDS (Health Electronic Response Data System),” to their “My Applications” quick menu.

To do this, log into the HCS, select “My Content,” then “All Applications,” find “HERDS (Health Electronic Response Data System),” and click the green +. If you see a red -, that means you have already added the application.

As a reminder, while updating your “My Applications” quick menu, this is a great time to ensure that your emergency contact information is current.
