New CHHA Applications Approved

During the April 11 Public Health and Health Planning Council (PHHPC) meeting, eight more CHHA applications were approved. We previously reported that there were concerns and questions regarding a number of CHHA applications coming from the March 21 PHHPC Establishment and Project Review Committee meeting. During this meeting, a concern was raised whether there was an oversaturation of downstate CHHAs. DOH disseminated a summary chart showing the number of downstate CHHAs that have either doubled or tripled per county.
