Important October Dates for Home Care, Hospice and Assisted Living
As previously reported in July, the Department of Health (DOH) has posted a Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) which outlines the activation schedule of the 2011, 2012 and 2013 annual Statistical Reports for Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs), Long Term Home Health Care Programs (LTHHCPs), Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs) and Hospices on the Health Commerce System (HCS). A couple reports are due by the end of the month.
Other important dates include DOH providing all CHHAs, LTHHCPs and MCOs an official notice of the minimum rates of compensation for each social service district covered by the wage parity requirement by Nov. 1 and CMS hosting a webinar on ICD-10s implementation on Nov. 5.
As a reminder, for the month of October and beginning of November:
- The 2012 CHHA/LTHHCP statistical report was activated in September and is due by Oct. 31;
- The 2012 Hospice cost and utilization report was activated in September and is due by Oct. 31;
- The 2012 LHCSA statistical report is currently activated and is due by Nov. 21;
- A separate Statistical Report is being used to collect data from LHCSAs exclusively providing services to Assisted Living Program (ALP) residents, and is due by Nov. 21;
- The 2015 wage parity levels will be posted by the DOH by Nov. 1 for NYC, Long Island and Westchester counties; and
- CMS will host a webinar on Nov. 5 on ICD-10 implementation.
