Home Care Statistical, Cost and Utilization Reports are Due

As previously reported in July, the Department of Health (DOH) has posted a Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) which outlines the activation schedule of the 2011, 2012 and 2013 annual Statistical Reports for Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs), Long Term Home Health Care Programs (LTHHCPs), Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs) and Hospices on the Health Commerce System (HCS).  The DAL provides a table showing the start date and due date for each provider type by year, and clarifies that the compressed data collection schedule will help keep the data current. Access to timely data is becoming increasingly important.  As you may recall, not having the current data impacted the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program Safety Net provider status determinations for home care providers.

As a reminder, for the month of October:

  • The 2012 CHHA/LTHHCP statistical report was activated in September and is due by Oct. 31;
  • The 2012 Hospice cost and utilization report was activated in September and is due by Oct. 31; and,
  • The 2012 LHCSA statistical report is currently activated and is due by Nov. 21.
  • A separate Statistical Report is being used to collect data from LHCSAs exclusively providing services to Assisted Living Program (ALP) residents, and is due by Nov. 21.
