HERDS v.3 Training: Learn the New Streamlined Structure for Data Reporting
This latest version of HERDS (Health Electronic Data System) streamlines the reporting process by integrating data reporting for several systems, including Home and Community Based Services (HCBS), Nursing Home Surveillance and Nosocomial Outbreak reporting. Upcoming webinar training options for CTI-119 include May 15, 17, 20 and 21 and pre-registration through the LMS is required. Before participating in the course, be sure to check that the WebEx’s Training Manager plug-in can install on the computer you will be using for the training. To access the LMS course offerings, users must set up a free account with a username and password; please note that the LMS requires a separate registration distinct from a Health Commerce System (HCS) account. When visiting the LMS website, respond to the prompt, “Not registered yet? CLICK HERE” found on the upper left of the screen.
HERDS v.3 offers a new user interface that includes a To Do List on the Home tab that is automatically updated when activities are completed. Users with a HCS account will need to add HERDS, HCBC, NH Surv, etc. (all links will now point to HERDS v.3) back into their My Applications by selecting Applications on the Main Menu Bar, selecting H (HERDS, HCBC) or N (NH Surv) and clicking on the plus + sign. More information about HERDS v. 3 is also available on the HCS under the Important Health Notifications menu; select the HERDS attachment PDF posted on May 10, 2013.
