CMS to Hold Home Health PDGM Operational Issues Call
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will hold a call on Wed., Aug. 21st from 1:30 to 3 p.m. ET to provide information to help home health agencies (HHAs) prepare to implement billing changes for the Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM) on Jan. 1, 2020. CMS will be using the PDGM to reimburse HHAs for providing home health services under Medicare fee-for-service (FFS).
Call topics will include:
- Billing and claims processing overview
- How Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) data will be used in the claims system
- Reporting new occurrence codes
- Period timing and admission source scenarios
- Transition scenarios
