CMS Releases CAHPS Hospice Survey Fact Sheet

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released a fact sheet that summarizes Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) data refreshes on Care Compare. This resource walks through the five-star rating scores and refresh data collection time points. This clarifies when CAHPS Star Ratings are posted versus all CAHPS measure scores.

In addition, the CAHPS Hospice Survey Project Team has developed a podcast for Star Ratings. It discusses CAHPS Hospice Survey Star Ratings, including details about the timeline, preview reports, how Star Ratings are calculated, and how to request CMS review of your scores.
