CMS Posts Recording of HHA Star Rating Call

Members interested in accessing the presentation materials and recording of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) call on changes to Home Health Compare star ratings may now do so. CMS has posted the recording and slide presentation from the Oct. 10, 2017 call on their website. The call focused on changes in how the Quality of Patient Care star rating is calculated, specifically the removal of the influenza measure.

Home Health Compare, which contains quality data, can be accessed here. Some new consumer survey result data was incorporated into the system in late October, with the next full update scheduled for January 2018. Members can also benchmark and analyze home health quality data on LeadingAge Quality Metrics, available here.
