CMS Circulates Draft Interpretive Guidelines
As home care providers try to fully understand the major regulatory changes that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) finalized and delayed, draft interpretive guidelines providing some additional detail circulated this week. The long-awaited guidelines might mean that the prospect of further delay beyond the January implementation date for most provisions is less likely. LeadingAge is analyzing the draft and will provide further information on the guidelines, which are available here.
LeadingAge has developed a set of checklists that delineate the requirements of the new home health Conditions of Participation (HHCoPs) published in the final rule and the actions needed to be in compliance. Those checklists are available to members here.
