OMIG Posts Compliance Guidance for CHHAs
The New York State Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) posted Compliance Guidance to provide examples of compliance risk areas that may be of particular concern to Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs). OMIG explains the purpose of the compliance guidance is to require Medicaid providers to develop a system for routine identification of compliance risk areas, specific to the type of services offered to Medicaid beneficiaries. Many of these are taken from the OMIG Audit Protocol for CHHAs, effective April 30, 2013. The full Audit Protocol for CHHAs can be found here.
