Are You Ready for PDGM?
The Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM), slated for implementation in January 2020, constitutes the most comprehensive set of operational, clinical, and financial imperatives for home health agencies since the introduction of the Prospective Payment System (PPS). It will require significant shifts in the approach that agencies of all sizes take to delivering care, evaluating patient outcomes, billing for services, and sustaining operations. PDGM represents an unprecedented opportunity for many providers – and a significant threat for many others – impacting every facet of operations.
Beginning April 3rd, the Visiting Nurse Associations of America (VNAA) will present a five-part weekly educational webinar series on PDGM. Each one-hour webinar will explore a different component of PDGM, delivering the tools you need to assess your strengths and master PDGM independently. The presentations will be held each Wednesday from 2 to 3 p.m. ET. All sessions will be recorded, and registrants will automatically receive a link to the recording after the call.
The presentation dates are provided below:
- April 3rd: Saying Goodbye to PPS: Getting Ready Home Health’s Next Era
- April 10th: The Importance of Smart and Accurate Coding: Optimizing Clinical Group Assignments and Getting Credit for Comorbidities
- April 17th: New Approaches to Utilization Management: Timing, Admission Sources and Clinical Groups
- April 24th: Documentation Management and the Revenue Cycle: Efficiency Improvements
- May 1st: Key Process Improvement Initiatives: Where PDGM Planning Comes Together
LeadingAge members can register at the VNAA member rate ($149) using the code LAMEM-PDGM.
