ACF/AL Fall Regional Meetings Coming to a Close
LeadingAge NY has regional meetings for adult care facility (ACF) and assisted living (AL) members this week and the first week of December. This will conclude the fall regional meetings for ACF/AL members, so if you missed your region’s meeting, feel free to register for one of the below meetings:
- Nov. 21st: Capital Region: The Terrace at Beverwyck, 40 Autumn Dr., Slingerlands, NY 12159
- Dec. 3rd: New York Metropolitan Area (including Hudson Valley, New York City, and Long Island): Wartburg, 1 Station Place, Mount Vernon, NY 10552
Each meeting is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Up to 4.5 ACF/AL or NAB continuing education credits can be earned. Attendance is free for members seeking ACF/AL credit, and NAB credit is available for a small fee.
Regional meetings are a great way to get the latest updates on a variety of ACF/AL issues, provide input into the advocacy agenda for the year ahead, and network with other providers in the region. The Department of Health (DOH) regional director will be present at each meeting to answer questions and provide updates. We are also offering training at each session regarding safety when using enablers and side rails in ACF/AL settings.

If there are any specific issues or questions that you would like LeadingAge NY or DOH to address during the meeting, please let us know.
