Transitional Adult Home Opportunity to Access ALP Beds "On Hold"

LeadingAge New York has learned that DOH has put "on hold" the Solicitation of Interest (SOI) opportunity for transitional adult homes to access Assisted Living Program (ALP) beds.  The reason for the delay, and its intended duration, are unknown at this time, but we do know that the Department received a significant number of questions about the SOI.  We are also uncertain about the effect of this delay on another anticipated SOI that would allow a broader pool of applicants to request ALP beds.

This specific opportunity was limited only to those facilities meeting the criteria of transitional adult home -- facilities of 80 beds or more in which twenty five percent or more of the census is someone with a serious mental illness.
