The LeadingAge NY IGNITE Leadership Academy Application Is Now Available!

LeadingAge NY is pleased to announce that the application for the 2019-20 IGNITE Leadership Academy is now available! IGNITE is a professional development program designed to facilitate the development and growth of senior living leaders in the state. Any LeadingAge NY member is eligible to apply, regardless of their title.

Wondering what the benefits of the program are? Amanda Waite, Administrator and Corporate Compliance Office for Fort Hudson Nursing Center and Fellow of the 2018-19 class, had this to say about her experience:

“Every campus leader, in my mind, needs to set aside time to unplug and take an honest, critical, and strategic look at their own leadership style, and set goals regarding the type of leadership legacy they want to leave in their organization. IGNITE, for me, has been a great test environment to try out different styles and to pick other professionals’ brains as to what team members really want from an administrator as well as what traits might work against us in our daily pursuits. Furthermore, I now have colleagues across the state that can help me look at challenges differently when I hit a wall. What a tremendous gift it is to have leaders across the state to reach out to when your team or facility is tackling a challenge and needs an unbiased and fresh perspective!”
