Oct. 26th is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Oct. 26, 2019 is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. This event provides a safe mechanism for people to dispose of unneeded medications. Click here to find collection sites in your area.

Facilities with a class 3a license should have received communication regarding scheduling onsite collection. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) also wants to ensure that class 3a facilities are aware that they can also participate in a free pilot program, in partnership with a pharmacy, to establish their own collection box.
