How Would You Improve the Application Process for ACF, ALP or ALR Licensure?

The DOH workgroup to streamline the application process to become a licensed Adult Care Facility (ACF), Assisted Living Program (ALP) or Assisted Living Residence (ALR) met for the first time on Thurs., June 6. The group has an ambitious agenda to accomplish by September:

  • review the existing processes;
  • review documents and content; and
  • make recommendations to streamline and simplify, but also maintain the integrity of the process.

The work will be conducted over the summer with workgroups for the various components of the process, including Part 1, Part 2, Legal, Financial and Architectural. Our contributions will be most meaningful with direct input from those of you who have or are currently going through the process. We encourage members to contact us with any ideas they may have on how the process can be improved.
