Fire Drills in ACFs During COVID-19 Pandemic

Given the potential risks associated with conducting fire drills during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Health (DOH) has elected to exercise enforcement discretion when surveilling adult care facilities' (ACFs) compliance with the requirements set forth in 18 NYCRR §§487.12(f),(g) and 488.12(g). This enforcement discretion will be exercised for the duration of the COVID-19 public health emergency, as declared under Executive Order (EO) 202.
