DOH to Offer Training to ACFs on Surveillance and Quality Assurance

The Department of Health (DOH) has posted a Dear Administrator letter (DAL) on the Health Commerce System (HCS) announcing upcoming training they are conducting for all adult care facilities (ACFs) and assisted living providers across the state. The training will focus on Quality Assurance as well as the Department’s revised survey protocol. Participants will receive survey tools to guide them in compliance with regulations and survey preparation. We are appreciative that the Department is taking on this effort to achieve greater clarity and consistency in surveillance.

The training is free and attendees will receive continuing education credits; however, registration is required. See the DAL for more information regarding the meetings and how to register. Questions regarding these trainings should be directed to DOH’s Dot Persico or Gina Raus at 518-408-1133.
