DOH to Host Webinar to Review Changes to ACF Waiver Submission Process

In an attempt to improve the waiver submission process for adult care facility (ACF) and assisted living providers, the Department of Health (DOH) is making additional changes to the waiver submission process for certain durable medical equipment such as hospital beds or beds with half side rails, or an enabling device on a standard bed. LeadingAge NY knows that this has been a frustrating process for members, and we have consistently provided DOH with feedback and recommendations since the process changed from an equivalency to a waiver.

DOH will host a recorded webinar for ACFs regarding the revised waiver submission process on Wed., July 27, 2022 at 11 a.m. All ACF and assisted living members are encouraged to participate. The webinar will provide information about some changes in the process for submitting waivers.

To participate, register here.

DOH announced this webinar via email to those in the administrator and backup administrator roles on the Health Commerce System (HCS). Members are reminded to ensure that these roles are populated and up to date.
